Gene was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived there the first 12 years of his life. Because his father was a minister, as a child, Gene moved from NY to Albuquerque, NM then Chicago and finally to Florida. He attended Southern University in Collegedale, TN and studied Allied Health Profession (Physical Therapy). Gene came into the insurance industry in May 1985. He was the 1986 top producer in his territory. In 1992 he was promoted to assistant manager (ADA) and by 1995 he was top 5 ADA in the entire organization. During this time, he served as the Political Action Committee Chairman and Education Chairman for the Association of Life Underwriters. Gene received another promotion to Branch Sales Manager in Bowling Green, KY in 1996 and in 1997 he was awarded “most improved Branch” in the entire Southeast territory. In 1999 he transferred to the Ocala Branch and by 2004 his Branch finished 3rd in the entire company. Gene moved to Richmond, VA in 2005 and led that branch to breaking sales records year after year. In 2014 he moved his family back to Florida and joined FLA in December 2014. He currently lives in Casselberry, FL and has been married to his wife, Pam, for 40 years. He has 3 daughters, Jennifer 35, Amanda 31, and Samantha 30 as well as a 12-year-old grandson, Aiden and 9-year-old granddaughter Adelyn. He loves all sports especially college basketball and spends his time off at the beach or traveling.
